Well, we've done our best. Desiccant in place, caulked, new plexiglas. Now we'll wait a few weeks before checking back to see if our system is working. It wasn't until Pete read the tube of caulk that it takes "7-14 days" to dry completely! Theoretically it will dry clear, though we all agree if it stays white that's okay too. We're primarily concerned with controlling moisture in there. We're trying to keep those brocades looking beautiful, and prevent the fog and mildew that cultivates in there. It's a battle, as Maryland is a swamp. Actually, a literal stones throw from this Stupa there is a swamp! (Well, maybe a little farther than that, but not much).

Before we finished tightening the last screw we had some brand new visitors to the Stupa! So all this effort is well worth it! We're now waiting for paint, which should be arriving any day. The goal is to get the Stupa Park painted next week!

I'm working the next few days, so will continue with some history on upcoming blog updates. The weekend will be full of activity though, with a Vedic Astrology workshop this weekend (if you'll be around come on by and check it out...all proceeds go to support the Mongolia Project!). Keleigh stopped by today to make some plans for it, and it sounds so interesting I'm planning to take a break Saturday afternoon to attend!

Of course, you don't have to participate in anything while you're here if you don't want to. The Stupas are always here for you, where ever your mind is at (angry, happy, sad, frightened), always offering blessings. So please do come out to Poolesville and visit, whenever you wish, we're open 24 hours a day. If you don't believe it, come on out at 2 am, you'll find someone praying in our Prayer Room whatever time of day you come by...guaranteed. We maintain a 24 hour prayer vigil, which has continued uninterrupted for 20 years. We're all praying for the end of suffering for all beings, no exceptions. We won't stop until it is accomplished. Just like the Stupa Crew, we'll keep it all going until they're all restored. And then we'll keep an eye on them from now on, ensuring they stay that way. If you can't make it out to us physically, then please do visit here. The images of the Stupas do bring great blessings too! Posted by Picasa
