August 21st...Faith, Challenge and Confidence....

Every phase of this project has had it's challenges. The part that confronts us with the unknown, that puts us smack in the middle of a situation we have no idea what to do with, but that we know we have to do something about. In the Stupa Park there was the logistic challenge of getting water and power out to an isolated site via a very rutted, muddy dirt road. With the Enlightenment Stupa it was getting that nightmare paint off. And here we approach Migyur Dorje. The paint's coming off pretty easily, and after working out at the Stupa Park, getting water out there is a relative piece of cake (there's actually power on site).

What, you might be wondering, does any of this have to do with this photo? Well, this photo is of Ani Sherab Khandro, the artist who created, cast and painted all the artwork on the Stupa. This photo is from when the Stupa was being built, back when the relief itself was still in the concept stage... Posted by Picasa
