The whole gang tried to make it work...but the glue didn't stick. There was too much of a gap between the two pieces. By this time the evening council meeting was starting (Ani Rene is a regular, and she convinced me to attend...) so we will return to this tomorrow! You can see, however, we're trying hard to help visitors understand Stupas! Thus, the day ends with the Enlightenment Stupa almost there! Some reinforcement of the brocade and supports in the gau, and figuring out how to mount our display, and it will be completed! So please do come see it while the paint is fresh...we've already found the trees, birds and general environmental business do deposit debris on our lovingly restored Stupa. We're already talking about maintenance schedules, including regular cleaning, to keep it in a condition reflecting our devotion to it. All of this is available to you 24 hours a day, every day. I checked it out tonight, the lights around the Stupa are all working, so midnight circumambulations are possible whenever you wish! And of course, for all who are unable to get to Poolesville, we'll keep the blog updated daily!
