It's funny. We keep thinking "we're done" and little details keep popping up. You can see the Stupa really is nearly completed. It needs a going over with the white paint, to touch up some paint dribbles and a few spots that the power washer cleaned off.

Tomorrow Amber and I will be picking up the new plexiglas (so you can see Guru Rinpoche more clearly!) after a trip to Baltimore to visit a sangha member who is in the hospital up there. As a result, I won't be doing the touch up work tomorrow as I had planned earlier today. If the visit in Baltimore is briefer than expected, I might bust out a can and brush and get up there for a while...but I'm not going to plan that. Norbu is taking a well deserved day off from the project.

In any case, we now have things in order out here. The display is up, the Stupa is clean, and we've started to remove our equipment from the area, so you can come on out and see the Stupa as it was intended to be seen! The Stupas exist for no other reason than to bring benefit to beings. This Stupa is located right next to our parking lot, you can visit any time day or night. It is literally here for you whenever you need it, whether you drive to Poolesville to visit, or just browse your way here. It is our offering to all suffering beings, on behalf of our precious teacher, Jetsunma Ahkon Lhamo, the living presence of unconditional compassion. May the blessings of this magnificent presence in the world transform all suffering to bliss, all striving to peace, and lead all beings to supreme Enlightenment!Posted by Picasa
