Well, we looked at the weather on TV (at home). Then checked the weather on the computer (here at the temple). The bottom line was, no guarantees. There is a slight chance of thunderstorms all day, increasing as night falls. But we were all here, determined to paint if we could.

We decided to solicit prayers from our sangha brothers and sisters practicing inside, and go for it. The instructions on the paint can indicated something like "do not apply under direct sunlight, on heated surface, in wind, or rain..." Was this exterior paint or what? Since we couldn't bring the Stupa inside to paint, we just got to work. It wasn't the hottest day we've had, and there was a reasonable breeze, but no serious wind. Our goal was to get the whole Stupa painted white as quickly as we could, just in case it does rain, we figured every extra hour of dry cure time will only help the new coat stand up to it...
