The white completed, our attention is now focused on the finishing touches. The brocade is in the temple, waiting to be placed.

We've recently fallen back from our aspiration to apply gold leaf (the process is much more complicated and delicate than we realized, so we're holding off until next year, giving us time to learn this process). So to finish, we need gold paint. Research has indicated painting copper requires some thought, and we're looking at applying an oil based primer up there. Burgundy for the inner rings, and getting a metallic gold for the outer rings and the gau.

Of course, we don't have any of this paint right now! But fortunately, Ani Rene has risen to the call (I work tomorrow all day) and has taken on the job of tracking down the needed supplies. We have a lead provided by Keleigh, an artist/astrologer who visits the temple often. She suggested a place called Monarch paints. She said they carry a large selection of metallics, including several shades of gold (green gold, brown gold....?). She suggested we call ahead to be sure they have what we need. After our paint problems last week (Ashby drove all the way to Hanover, 45 miles from the temple, only to find they didn't have it in stock, then I had to drive way out to the coast of Delaware to obtain it!), we appreciate such advise. : ) So pray that we are able to find the product, the vendor, all in time to get a prime coat up on the spire by sundown tomorrow!
