We moved forward today despite forecasts for rain. As it turned out we got a lot of necessary things done, not the least of which included learning the new forms for obtaining funds from the board!
We went over the project again, to work out changes to the projected budget and examine areas we might be overlooking. We're getting closer to the final phases of this renovation, the painting, so we want to make sure we don't get caught at the end without some necessary material because we forgot to plan for it!
Some things that came out of it were the plexiglas for the Enlightenment Stupa, and the absolute need for a plan to finish the Long Life Stupa base.
We are, for all viewers, looking for any specific instructions given to anyone by Lamas in the past. We as a crew aren't aware of any, but none of us was around when the Stupas were built.
Some options we're exploring include flagstone, marble, granite, and the more cost effective alternatives of paint. Input is welcome! You can see the Long Life Stupa, with a mock up of a stone base, in a post from earlier this week. This isn't how it looks now...looks like concrete with much (but not all) the paint removed...we're exploring options.
Enough writing...here's what happened today...
