The clouds were getting darker as we wrapped up at the Stupa. We're almost finished with repairs! Our final act for the day (at the temple) was to gather offerings from the boxes we put out last week. It turned out well worth the effort, as the funds collected allowed us to purchase more mortar tomorrow!
Thus, the plan is to paint this Stupa next week. The weather is the big unknown factor. Today, as it turned out, it stormed after we left. I can only hope our repairs didn't get washed out (I'm thinking they may have set long enough). We'll see.
In any case, things are gearing up for that final drive. Next week we'll be ordering paint, as well as painting the Enlightenment Stupa! We'll be needing all the help we can get soon as we head out to Migyur Dorje! Possibly next week!
The Stupas are Enlightened Mind in form, appearing for the benefit of beings, to guide us to our own enlightenment. They offer blessings, and benefit, to all they encounter, without judgment or requirements. They are here for all of you, any of you, who take the opportunity to engage with them. Whether you come to Poolesville to see them in person, or visit them here, the blessings are always available! Though we on this blog are focused on getting this renovation completed by September 1, we constantly remind ourselves of the preciousness of this opportunity, and the amazing blessing that is our focus. Everything we do, from maintaining this blog, to the efforts you see us engaged in on these pages, all of it is devoted to keeping these precious structures in the world for generations to come.
