July 18th...Mortar...

It was just Norbu and I today. We haven't been working on gathering volunteers, because we never know from day to day what the weather will do. We've had folks show up and then not work, and we'd rather not do that to folks. So we came out today to see what we could do.

We got almost completely done with the Enlightenment Stupa, and though I don't have any photos of it, Norbu also worked on the Auspicious Manifold Doorways Stupa.

We're taking it day by day, but we're hoping to get out to Migyur Dorje this week to start stripping! Anyone who can spend some time trucking water over there for us please let us know! Norbu's truck is limping along, but not up to the task this time...so we need a few folks with pick up trucks to haul some water for us. The stripper is removed using a powerwasher, and that requires a good supply of water. We have quite a few 50 gallon barrels, and we've done this before (out at the Stupa Park). The road to Migyur Dorje is much better than the Stupa Park road as well, so it ought to go much easier.

Here's what we did today...
