There were a few minor blemishes we missed back in April when we first worked on repairs out here. We were babies then! With an eye towards being ready to paint this weekend, I decided that despite the muddy road we needed to get the repairs done today. There wasn't much to do, in the sense most of it had already been done. The problem was my terror at rolling the newly donated truck over into a ditch! There is a large dip in the road on the way up to the park, and on one side there is a drop off, like into a streambed drop off. I have known of guys who ended up with their axel perched on the edge of that drop off, so I take it seriously. Normally it's not a big deal, there's plenty of road to avoid it, but since I don't know the truck that well, and since it was wet and slippery, and I'd made it once already, I decided not to push my luck. Don't worry though! That doesn't mean I didn't do the repairs! I loaded a plastic bag with M125, put it in the bucket of tools, and headed out the old fashioned way...on foot.
