Anchi (sorry if I misspelled) joined us as well today. She's a professional Photoshop Educator, so she works with art in computers. She quickly became our expert in working with the finicky gold paint. Unfortunately, not long after this shot was taken, those cloudy skies did indeed burst into a shower. So we packed up, piled into the truck, and called it a day.

Thus, great hopes once again gave way to steady progress. The Long Life Stupa had almost one coat of gold on it. I was working on the spire all day (short one run to the hardware store in Poolesville for more rollers), painting burgundy in the inner rings. I had to re-prime the yellow outer rings afterwards, and never made it to painting gold. So, our friend James may get his wish after all, and have a chance to paint some gold in the Stupa Park!

Since we put out the call for help with painting we've gotten a great response, we now just need the weather to support our effort! Prayers are welcome! And of course, you don't have to work on them at all to enjoy them! The Stupas are here, 24 hours a day every day, benefiting beings in all forms, free of charge, nothing required in return. They're here for you, both in Poolesville, Maryland, and right here online. The Stupa Crew is dedicated to keeping it that way for as long as possible! Posted by Picasa
