Here's a view of the top of the gau, you can see the crack is deep and goes the entire length of the joint between the gau and bumpa. The goal is to repair this entire area of weakness. In the past they used massive amounts of caulk, but the caulk dried and pulled away, allowing moisture to enter the crack. We're hoping the repairs we make this year will prevent that, but...we'll see how it goes. : ) We'll be checking all this out carefully next year!
