So here's a final glance at the drama. We did our best to work around the "nest". Now, of course, we're not sure what it was. Is that harvestman looking for a meal? Or protecting babies? Unfortunately, without a tripod, I couldn't get a much tighter shot (macro requires stillness of the camera, my little point and shooter isn't designed for it). In any case, we did our darndest to avoid harming any of the little guys (and gals)!

We've made a lot of progress! Thanks Lisa! This week will be interesting. We're facing an unruly weather pattern (calling for thunderstorms every day). Thus, our goal of painting the next few days may have to be modified. There's lots to do besides paint though. So don't worry, we'll be working hard...I work Monday and Tuesday (at the hospital), and Norbu is going to be out working on the Stupas. He is devoted and hard working, but doesn't always report his accomplishments. : ) So I'll update as I can.

I'll be back out on Wednesday for sure, and we'll see what's up. It's cool to be restoring finally! We had a few new folks come by today who may join us later this week...so if you're giving it some thought do go ahead and try it! We'll make sure you know what to do, and give you all the tools you'll need. You might want to wear some work clothes, the kind that can get stained or dirty, but other than that, no requirements!

Thus, once again, a group of ordinary folks gathered and endured heat, sweat, and spiders, leaving the airconditioning inside to repair a Stupa! These profound sources of blessings are truly unrestricted in their generosity. Offering blessings to all who come in contact with them, from harvestmen and the birds that eat them, to the men, women and children that set aside their ordinary concerns, their personal lives, to ensure they stay in the world to continue bringing their immeasurable benefits!

The Stupas are the embodiment of boundless equanimity, compassion and kindness, they are the enlightened mind in form, always ready, always offering...We are working hard to keep them here for generations of beings, human and non. Please accept our invitation to take advantage of this precious opportunity, whether you come out of curiosity just to see them, or whether you gather the courage to actually talk to a "stupa person" and learn how to work on them, we'll be here to support you. If you like your privacy, there's over 65 acres of land, and many Stupas here. You'll have a chance to get away from us! If you can't come out to Poolesville, keep checking in here. I'll make sure you share this amazing experience!Posted by Hello
