And here it is! This is the brocade for the Long Life Stupa! It really shimmers! KT was thrilled with the brocade warehouse Gretchen found. In fact, that's why she was so late in getting to the temple, they found lots of brocades! We use brocade as a kind of offering of respect, like a precious seat, as a way of acknowledging the preciousness of the teachers. So there's lots of brocades in the temple, on all the altars, on the thrones. They need to be replaced from time to time, and we've never had a great resource. So Gretchen found what KT referred to as the "brocade mother load".
