It was slow going this afternoon. First, I found the belt sander didn't work so well over my head (couldn't get the right angle or pressure on it) so I tried working with a drill with a grinding head on it. Two cordless drills, four drained batteries, and a trip to Lowe's to get a cheap corded drill later, and I still didn't get very far. : ) Some days it just goes that way. : )
I thought the break of the trip off site, and some lunch, would help me bounce back. But I found my arms still felt like limp spaghetti. I worked for about another 90 minutes, but finally accepted the fact it wasn't going to be finished today. Ashby hung out with me on the ground, making sure I was safe up there.
This area of work isn't for everyone, it's up high, the steps are narrow, the gau angles out, and it's hard physical work. Don't worry though! I'll be back out tomorrow, and Charlie Grant said he'll be out as well. He said heights don't bother him at all. : ) He's younger, and stronger than I am, so maybe between the two of us we can get through this! Ardys is heading out to join us as well, so we may get some repairs done also. Regardless, we'll be out there Sunday with buckets, paint and brushes! We'll offer everyone who comes by the chance to paint a Stupa!
