With the south wall nearly complete (well, relatively...), we can look ahead to the next wall. The west wall seemed to suffer the most over time. I don't know why, but can report that for some reason this wall had the most pitting (not a function of the sand blaster operator alone), and seemed to have the most underlying damage (visible areas of scoring). I include this just as a note to anyone reading who may have been involved in the construction or maintanence in the past, maybe you could help us understand this...Otherwise, it is worth noting for the future. We're looking to keep the Stupas in good repair from here forward, which means much more careful, planned maintanence. In any case, if the rain keeps us off the bumpa this week we'll head here next...

Perhaps the damage to the west wall comes from the prevailing winds--David Somerville in Sedona might have specific thoughts and /or suggestions.
