This is Wumco, a food pantry for upper Montgomery County. They serve a rural community, with very few Asians, so they didn't accept the rice we had. There was probably well over 500lbs of rice, and we knew they were clearing the studio at the temple for this weekends events, so we asked the woman at Wumco where she thought we might offer this food. She mentioned St. Vincent's church in Gaithersburg, as they serve meals to the hungry daily. We called, and sure enough, they were thrilled to receive these resources. So, we headed out and unloaded.

It was pretty dark by then, and my shots were all plagued by motion to the point I couldn't subject you to them. : ) So here's where I'll end. Sorry for the late post Mom, was too tired when I got home last night.

Today I'm heading up to Frederick to see what David Parker is up to. They're building a Stupa up there! He said the current state, with ditches dug and forms placed, would be a good model to see in terms of getting our wall built around Migyur Dorje.

For now, I'll leave you with the usual invitation. The Stupas exist to benefit all beings, regardless of race, religion, social class or intellectual capacity. Whether you just want to see a Stupa because it's different, or whether you want to learn about them in depth, or even if you don't care about them at all, they'll bring you benefit when you connect with them! Even just these photos on these pages! We here at KPC don't care if you're Buddhist, the temple and grounds are offered to all seeking peace and compassion. So come on out and see them for yourself!
