December 2nd....Guru Yoga

Late post, as it was a late night. We had a large group practice last night to kick off a weekend of concentrated prayer. One of our youngest sangha members, a 4 year old little girl, has had a recurrence of cancer and is now having a work up for surgery. We've gathered in both Arizona and here in Maryland to support her. I work this weekend, but will participate in the retreat next weekend.

Don't worry, work will continue on the Stupas as well. We've had a planning week this week, but progress has been made. The granite altar piece has finally been ordered for the Long Life Stupa, and we actually have a concept of how to complete the Migyur Dorje Stupa.

For now, however, this practitioner must hurry along to work. I will leave you with an invitation to come visit the Stupas in person. They are beautiful year round, and their blessings are continuous. We also have our temple open 24 hours a day for anyone looking for a quiet place to find some peace. This shot is from one of the altars in our Prayer Room, where the prayer intensive will be happening. You don't have to participate to visit! Posted by Picasa
