There are deep ruts in the road, which filled with water, then ice. These are the conditions that made us carry out all our equipment today (including the new plexi), and which are causing us to think carefully about getting the granite altar piece out there. On both sides of this very rut there are sharp drop offs into a stream which passes under here. Enough of a drop to snap an axle. We're trying to figure out how to build it up without destroying the stream...
