Take a look at this! What is it? It's the interior of the gau, right next to the throne. Why take a photo of this? Because it's clean, dry, bug free! This is almost certainly a result of the way the plexi shield fits. You can see here in the foreground the groove cut into the gau, a frame in which the plexi fits snugly. Because it's routed out of the gau face, it allows the plexi to fit flush with the front of the gau, rather than over top of that surface. What this means is that it is possible to get a very clean seal, and water runs over top of the plexi rather than behind it. Keeping the gau of the Enlightenment Stupa clean is a goal as yet unmet, thus, we're taking note of this configuration for a spring project... Posted by Picasa
