The photos today were shot yesterday. I was too tired last night to get them up online. My project for the day was getting out to Ngagpa Yeshe Dorje to check out the gau and get a pattern for replacement plexiglas. On my way out I saw Namgyal, one of our monks, doing a bless and burn. Images of the Buddha, on paper, or anything else that burns, cannot be thrown in the trash like any ordinary thing. Instead it is burned while reciting prayers, which is what Namgyal is doing here. You can see our fire pit is flanked by two Stupas!
