
Once we hit Alabama we encountered something really weird (we hear it's not that weird, but to us it was truly alarming). Evidently down south there is a season of "love bugs", they look similar to lightening bugs only a little smaller. They exist in pairs, literally copulating all the time as they fly. And they SWARM. They covered the highways like rain, and when you're traveling at 60 mph + you can imagine...
