I worked again today, and thus cannot report first hand what happened today.
I did talk with Norbu though, and he tells me there were some problems. Two hoses (from the sandblaster) had holes in them, which have now been replaced. That took some time to accomplish, so he said they got through about 1/2 a wall today.
He also said he took pictures, so I'll post them when I get them. : )
Tomorrow we will (hopefully) complete the railing on the platform, and perhaps finish sandblasting the wall.
We're also expecting Ani Sherab Khandro to arrive with Ani Alana. Ani Alana is moving out here for a while from Arizona, and Ani Sherab is helping her move. The great news here is that Sherab is the artist who has done almost all the artwork on all of KPC's Stupas, so we look forward to her wisdom and skill to inform us as we learn! She's made some awesome sacrifices in her life to complete work on Stupas, and is a source of inspiration to all of us. So we're looking forward to her visit!
For myself, I'm going to turn in early. I took the 6 am prayer shift in the morning (we have a 24 hour prayer vigil, that's right, someone is praying at the temple 24 hours a day, every day, no exceptions! We accomplish this by breaking it down to two hour shifts, which we volunteer for). So I've got to get up early. : )
I will leave you as usual with the invitation to join us. Here or at the temple, or at the Stupas on the land. It is the wish of every person you see on these pages to provide a refuge for all through their efforts, whether it's getting up in the middle of the night for a 2 am prayer shift, getting covered with sand and dust blasting the Stupas, or staying up all night trying to figure out how to make ends meet as our treasurer. We are all volunteers, no one gets paid, everything you see or hear about happens because real people have devoted themselves to making sure these precious blessings remain in the world, open to all, anyone who needs them. May any virtue or merit generated by these activities be devoted to relieving the suffering of every being, so all may rest in the comfort and ease of ceaseless joy....
