Dawa, who got me into this whole Stupa Renovation thing in the first place (she lives in Arizona now and made me promise to take care of the Stupas here in Maryland when she left), had warned me we'd find a "huge" crack around the gau. We hadn't found anything significant so far, so I was wondering what she was talking about. When Tenzin took off the last bit of paint, we found it. Tenzin had no fear though, we stopped at this point to take a closer look (sheets of repair material were flying off, which got our attention. But Tenzin was ready to finish cleaning it out!
