Norbu reports that he was able to get some work done today with Ashby's help. He said there's still more to go on the Enlightenment Stupa (he'd hoped to get it finished), but not much. Weather looks like a challenge this week. We'll see how it goes.
Lisa reports Ani Sherab didn't make it out today. Hopefully she'll be out tomorrow (she has family in the area she is staying with). Again, we'll see. : )
Tomorrow is one of the primary auspicious days in the Tibetan Calendar, and we'll be devoting it to generating merit for the benefit of beings. For those of you who are not students of Dharma that may not have much meaning, and it doesn't need to. You can know that we will be spending the day doing what we can to bring and end to suffering. Part of that will be offering anyone, really truly anyone, who has even the slightest interest, the opportunity to participate in the repair of the Enlightenment Stupa. We have the repair mortar, we have the tools, and we'll be there to help you, no matter who you are. If you have even a passing interest, please do come out! Don't feel bad if you think you have no experience or are afraid to mess things up. You can count on the fact we've already made almost every mistake possible (and then some), and we'll be there to guide you through the whole thing. It won't take long, a matter of minutes. And whether you believe it or not, that matter of minutes will plant the seed of your own enlightenment, with absolute certainty. If you do it with the prayer that all beings will experience the benefit, then that too will be planted. These seeds will, for sure, ripen someday. Even if you don't believe any of that, it's a chance to see this whole business first hand, and generate a story or two to tell your friends. : ) So don't be shy. All of this is being done for you!
