June 13th...better late than never?

Well...Sunday was Saga Dawa. The anniversary of the Buddha's Enlightenment according to the Tibetan calendar. It is one of four major holidays a year, and as for all of them, we seek to engage in virtuous activity on such occasions. There are traditional practices we do in the Prayer Room, but we also offer outdoor activities to the public as well. On Sunday, we offered the chance to paint a Stupa on an extremely auspicious day! I was too exhausted by days end to post, only now have I gotten the spunk together to sort through all the images...but here's a few to give you a glimpse of the day! Posted by Picasa
