The day ended early, but we accomplished what we had set out to do. The interior of the gau is now painted with the roofing paint! Guru Rinpoche is back in his chamber, one step closer to being dry and secure.

Next weekend is Saga Dawa, the anniversary of the Buddha's enlightenment! It is an extremely auspicious time to engage in prayer or practice, including making a visit to your local Stupa! We're gearing up to paint this one next Sunday, and we'll have many brushes and buckets on hand so anyone who comes can have a change to paint a Stupa on this most auspcious day! Of course, we're doggedly fundraising for the paint right now...so if you're not in Maryland (or nearby) you can click the link on this page and donate a few dollars towards it! Or just keep this aspiration in your prayers.

And as with everything to do with Stupas, you don't have to be Buddhist to participate. The Stupas do not discriminate, they offer their profound blessings to all without exception...so please do come out and see them for yourself! Posted by Picasa
