Just to give a sense of the history of the Stupa Park...this photo is of the consecration of the 8 small Stupas. You can see the Long Life Stupa had not yet been built. Up until last Friday, I had no photos of the construction of the Long Life Stupa itself. But on Friday, through some weird turns of events, a small sleeve of photos landed in my hands. I scanned them, and decided to share them with you! You can see that Stupas are not just concrete art structures, they are literally sacred objects. They are considered the mind of Enlightenment in form, thus they are not built like any ordinary thing... Posted by Picasa
