For all of you who have never seen the inside of a statue, here's a look. Though this one is particularly full of it, almost all statues we encounter have some debris from the firing process caked inside them. It ranges from this, which is like a hard ceramic, to a softer black charcoal, to occasional rock-like grit. Whatever form it takes, it has to come out before any offerings can be placed inside...
