May 8th...Faith....

Short post tonight. Worked all weekend, and did a lot of still camera research (my camera seized up on Friday) but now it seems it is working again (thank goodness!). We'll see tomorrow. : ) Hopefully it holds up fine. I think a grain of sand was stuck in the lens housing causing the sensors to think the lens cap was on. In any case, it works tonight....

I worked today, as did Norbu. There were empowerments and teachings at the temple, so no work on the Stupas today. : )

Tomorrow work resumes. We'll be sandblasting the Enlightenment Stupa and perhaps working on erecting scaffolding to support the hoist (I got an electric one on Friday) we're going to try using to lift the sandpot and sand to the platform. No firm idea how we're going to rig it all, but that's not unusual. : )

Below I've posted an older (1 month or so) photo of the Stupa Park, and the paint swatch chosen to paint the Stupas out there! Finally we have a color, we are still waiting to hear from Jerry regarding cost, but a huge step has been taken!

We at least now have almost all the pieces in mind necessary to really complete the project. We may not know how we'll pay for it all, but we know what we need to do, and what we'll need to do it. That's the hard part...

I'm going to close now, wanting to get to the temple at a reasonable hour tomorrow. I hope you will join us there! If not in person, check us out here. The Stupas exist only to be a source of blessing for beings, so enjoy the beauty of their selfless generosity. By encountering these amazing structures, may the wishes of all beings be completely and effortless fulfilled! And may all those who visit this page take heart, knowing us ordinary folks are out there every day working on them for you (we do work in our heads when we can't with our hands...trust me...there is an element of obsession here...). Tulku Sang Ngag Rinpoche is quoted as saying one of the qualities of Stupas is that it is hard to feel possessive of them, they are open to everyone, all the time. That is one of their qualities that inspires me the most. By the efforts and resources I devote to restoring these Stupas for the sake of all beings, may I too achieve complete equanimty and generosity, offering all beings whatever they desire, without hesitation or judgment, until there are no beings left to liberate!
