May 5th...Plans, aspirations, auspicious results...

It wasn't the day we thought it would be today. : ) Not unusual by any means...

We were going to build a railing for the platform, so work up there could be done more safely. A trip to Lowe's in the morning, and Home Depot in the evening later, it still isn't done...but we might just have what we need now. : )

Ani Sherab Khandro also arrived with Ani Alana. We took Ani Sherab on a tour of the Stupas, to get her input and ideas. She was involved, deeply, in building almost all of them, so we got to hear stories of the labor and devotion that went into their creation, as well as the gritty details of how they were cast and built. It was awesome to hear her talk, and to hear the stories. It was really amazing how the feeling, the passion, for the Stupas can be so consuming. Listening to her, we could easily relate to the devotion, the absolute commitment to completing the project she relayed. Though our work isn't nearly as difficult, it is challenging, and we are required to muster the same spirit of complete devotion.

There is this certainty, that whatever must be done can be done, somehow, and we'll keep at it until we figure it out. The motivation for that unyielding commitment, is the realization that these structures are such an amazing source of blessings. Such a fantastic offering to the world, and the opportunity to care for them a rare and precious stroke of fortune for ordinary folks like us. You can feel the virtue in your body, in your mind, just being around them. To work on them can truly change your life.

There is plenty to do, so feel free to come out and give it a try! We'll make sure you get a chance, and we'll guide you through the learning process if you wish!

If you aren't the physical labor type (be warned, we've had several of those types get their hands dirty once they're out there...voluntarily) just come out and see them. Walk around them, bring your hopes, your dreams, you deepest aspirations. The Stupas will ripen them, it is certain.

It is the hope of all those on these pages that all your hopes and aspirations are realized, that all your wishes come true, and that you find your way to unending joy. The Stupas are our way to offer you that opportunity. That is why they exist, to benefit beings, all beings. So please do visit often, if not in person, then here. Take comfort in knowing ordinary folks like us are working all the time to create the causes for happiness, not for ourselves alone, but for every suffering being in existence. Know that this work itself is a source of endless joy!
